Boutier, Ko share lead, Indians make early exit at Women’s Scottish Open

Troon, Scotland, July 31: France’s Celine Boutier and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko shared the lead at 15-under-par after 54 holes at the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open. Boutier fired a round of 67 (-5) and got off to a hot start with four birdies on her front nine. World number four Ko, who was the leader at the halfway stage, carded a round of one-under-par 71 on day three at Dundonald Links.

The three Indian girls, Aditi Ashok, Tvesa Malik and Diksha Dagar missed the cut.

Boutier dropped the shot of the day at 12, but she soon bounced back with a birdie on 14 to reach 15-under.

Germany’s Leonie Harm and Canada’s Maude-Aimee Leblanc sit in a tie for third place just one shot behind the leaders on 14-under-par. Leblanc fired the joint-best round of the day – a 66 (-6) along with China’s Xi Yu Lin and Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh – to move herself into contention.

Korea’s Eun-Hee Ji and American Lilia Vu are T5 on 13-under-par with Thailand’s Wichanee Meechai and American Cheyenne Knight one shot further back in a share of seventh place.
