Georgia Hall won a second straight title in the Justin Rose Ladies series on Thursday. As she moved to the top of the Order of Merit for the Rose Ladies Series she will be looking forward to the Grand Final next week.
The seventh leg coincided with Justin Rose’s 40th birthday and the former World No. 1 would have been pleased with the Series he helped set up and funded it, too, besides helping find more sponsors.
While Hall moved to the top of the American Golf Order of Merit, Charley Hull was second. There is one more event left and there is £20,000 available for the player who heads the standings at the end of the three-day Computacenter Grand Final next Friday. There will be double points in the next leg so any of the top six players can win the event and also win the final Order of Merit.
Hall, who came in this week with a practice round at the course, and Hull are also preparing for the Ladies Scottish Open and the Women’s Open at Royal Troon. Also, next week Wentworth’s West Course, which will be playing host on the final day after North Hants and The Berkshire host the opening two rounds, will for the first time stage a women’s professional competition.
“I’m can’t wait — it will be a great occasion to sign off a great series,” Hall said, after a five-under 67 handed her a three-shot win over fellow Englishwoman Liz Young and Scot Kylie Henry. Hall missed the first two events. She has now had three seconds followed by two wins.

Hull, the world No 25, endured a terrible start, giving away three shots in the first two holes, but an eagle on the 13th helped her to finish one-under in a tie for fourth with Hannah Burke and Wales’s Becky Morgan.
