Udayan Mane rises by more than 100 places; Rashid stays top Indian

Udayan Mane rose by more than 100 places from 417 to 303 on Official World Golf Rankings with the win at the Golconda Masters on Sunday. The tall big built golfer, who turned pro in 2015 has now won nine times on the PGTI Tour.

Rashid Khan, who was T-7 this week in Hyderabad, continues to be the top Indian on OWGR at 180, while Shubhankar Sharma (264) is the next best. Shiv Kapur at 277 and Mane at 303 is now the fourth ranked Indian with Ajeetesh Sandhu (328).

Aman Raj also made good gains this week with a T-2 place and rose from 437 to 384 and he is the 7thranked Indian with Gaganjeet Bhullar (380) at sixth. S Chikkarangappa (395) and Anirban Lahiri (453) are eighth and ninth.

Veer Ahlawat who was fourth this week rose from 609 to 525.

Udayan Mane won the last even of  the 2019 season and has now won the first event of 2020 for back-to-back wins.

Mane is the seventh player to win back-to-back titles on the PGTI following after Ashok Kumar, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Shamim Khan, Anirban Lahiri, Mithun Perera and Honey Baisoya. Honey Baisoya was the last player to win back-to-back titles on the PGTI when he bagged the Pune Open and Delhi-NCR Open in April 2018.
